Pets for Life, with local partners, is helping seniors in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom
keep their companion animals healthy, happy and safe.

Call The Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging of Vermont to learn how we can help you:
Here's How We Help:

Pet-food assistance

Our "meals to pets" program provides assistance to Meals-on-Wheels recipients and homebound  Vermonters in our service area with the care and feeding of their companion animals.

Contact us if feeding your pet has become a hardship.

Pet adoption guidance
Through partnerships with local shelters and veterinarians the program supports seniors who dream of adopting a companion animal.

Contact us if you dream of bringing a pet into your life.

Emergency planning and assistance with care

The program works to support pet owners in-need to identify the resources available to them, and to facilitate the advanced planning needed to  insure that their pets will be cared when they are not able to.

Are you prepared? Review this checklist and resource guide to create a care plan for your pet. Link to printable Care Plan >
